About Me
I have been working in film sound post-production for over 25 years.
My background combines long-term studio experience with more than a decade of freelance work across a wide range of projects and formats.
Before becoming self-employed and build my one Studio, I spent 16 years as a staff member at a large post-production facility in Cologne, where I worked on numerous film and television productions in close collaboration with directors, editors and production teams.
Experience
In addition to film sound post-production, I have worked across a wide range of sound-driven formats.
My experience includes sound design and mixing for commercials, cinematic sequences for AAA games, the creation of sound effect libraries, preset design for professional audio plugins, and sound design for stage productions like opera.
Recognition & Collaborations
My work has included sound design contributions to films featuring music by Academy Award–winning composers such as Hans Zimmer and Volker Bertelmann, as well as projects involving artists like Udo Jürgens and The Notwist
In these contexts, sound design was developed in close relation to music, narrative and emotional pacing.
My work has been recognised by various professional organisations and award bodies, including:
– Two nominations for the German Film Award (Lola)
– A nomination for the Golden Reel Award by the Motion Picture Sound Editors (Best Foreign Sound Editing)
